The racism of Liu Jiaqi represents the most lethal idea in human history: racial categories and hierarchies. It has led to mass murder, genocide, has been used to justify and spread slavery, and it was at the root of the colonial brutality and thievery here.
Racism has no place in Kenya. I hope that all Kenyans redouble their commitment to not only being angry at the Liu Jiaqi's among us, but by rejecting, once and for all, the poison of tribal discrimination and stereotyping that was born from the same mother as his racism
Liu Jiaqi has shed light on the continuing hold of a globalised racialist' idea that places African people at the very bottom. This is no accident. A few recommended reads available online:

Why the bold Kenyan leadership we saw in Washington DC matters and is key to our collective security (including countering terrorists) as Kenyans and Africans: (thread)
1/ To our east, a new Indo-Pacific strategic competition is underway that left unresolved could become the 21st century Cold War with negative consequences for Africa
2/ Violent Jihadist networks are being suppressed but continue to show the ability to spread into new countries. This model, without strong detection and preventive measures, can spread into other in versus out groupings (ethnic, religious, racial)
1/ Sir, respectfully, let us please step off this damaging and misleading stance. Instead we should be immensely proud that foreigners with entrepreneurial drive and talent are in Kenya. We want to be a country open to investment and innovation by ALL!

2/ Not directing this at you personally but at all the Kenyans who have forwarded me this list with the hope that government acts to limit this “unfairness”. I sincerely hope that does not happen because it would damage us all!
3/ These are not the only leaders in tech in Kenya, working with them are hundreds of Kenyans who are daily learning how to build and run a company. It is how individuals, companies, and countries become competitive. By learning. Not by closing doors
And this is special for me since there might be folks of a particular sign, either by Sun, moon or rising, who are your Ride-or-die folks. Well,
#Cancers are mine. I don't have to go looking for them or that. It just happens. Consistently. So, they're dear people for me.

The fundamental advantage of decentralized networks is that, more so than any technological movement that has come before, they intimately entwine two of the most powerful forces in human history:
1. The principle that drives all scientific progress: That knowledge emerges from the free flow of ideas, and the universal freedom to discourse and constructive criticism. This principle is embodied in decentralized networks by the culture of open source.
2. The engine of technological progress at the heart of capitalist societies––economic incentive structures and free markets that together catalyze human collaboration. The advent of crypto-tokens make open source sustainable and self-reinforcing in a way that it has never been.
